Moist Chocolate Cake

i was in the midst of having something sweet and yummy...
then i found this recipe.

this recipe is ideal as birthday cakes or any celebration.

MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder of your choice
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup mazola oil
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water

Preparation Method
  1. Preheat Oven to 300° F / 150° C
(This is not a typo! This is a slow bake chocolate cake recipe.)
  2. Use Crisco Shortening to lightly grease and flour the9 x 13 in. Baking Dish.
  3. Place all the ingredients on the left into a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix at medium or medium high speed until all ingredients are blended and smooth.
  5. Pour into greased and floured baking dish
  6. Bake for 1 hr (i tried out water-bath technique).
  7. Test by sticking with knife. If it comes out clean, it's done!
  8. Allow to cool.

mind that i have copy and paste the recipe from its source, with several alteration from the original ingredients.

in the future, i would might;
1. spread some chopped nuts on top or mix-in for the cake.
2. serve the cake with some chocolate ganache.
3. top with my favourite frosting.
4. add some lemon or orange rind for a twist or use instant coffee powder to enrich the chocolatey taste.
5. use baking soda as instructed for that honey-comb texture! (i only have baking powder this time).

enjoy your chocolate cake!
